Farid Arif and Rayan Malik of Pakistan won gold in the Open Men’s Double Scull Race, while Huzaifa Arshad of Pakistan won gold in the cadet individual kata at the South Asian Karate Championship.
According to details, the Open Men’s Double Scull Race was held in Amsterdam, where Farid Muhammad Arif and Rayan Malik represented KBC Pakistan and delivered an outstanding performance on the first day of the Dutch International Youth Regatta 2025.
Over 800 young athletes from eight countries — Pakistan, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Ukraine, and the United States — participated in this competition.
Farid and Rayan outperformed their international rivals with excellent coordination and extraordinary endurance and won the gold medal. Their lead was so clear that other boats were not even visible at the finish line.
Meanwhile, at the South Asian Karate Championship in Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s Huzaifa Arshad won gold in the cadet individual kata. Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan are participating in the karate event.
At the ongoing South Asian Karate Championship in Colombo, Huzaifa Arshad won the gold medal in the under-10 category. So far, Pakistan’s contingent has won one gold, one silver, and seven bronze medals. India is at the top of the overall medal table.
