The Ministry of Finance has submitted a written response regarding the country’s debts during the meeting of the National Assembly.
In the written reply of the Ministry of Finance, it was stated that Pakistan will have to repay the debt of 95.4 billion dollars from 2022 to 2059. In this regard, the Ministry of Finance further said that Pakistan’s total external debt as of May 31, 2022, was up to one trillion dollars.

According to the Ministry of Finance, in the total external debt, the official external debt is $85.64 billion, while the debt of the IMF is $7.29 billion dollars.
The Ministry of Finance said that the foreign debt owed by the private sector is $11.58 billion dollars. The Ministry of Finance also presented the details of the previous government’s loans in the National Assembly.
