Pakistan and India will face each other today in a highly anticipated match of the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup at the KR Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Pakistan suffered a crushing defeat against Bangladesh in their first match of the tournament, while India managed to defeat Sri Lanka in the opening match of the Women’s Cricket World Cup.
The match is likely to be affected by rain, as the forecast predicts intermittent rain throughout the day. Rain is expected before the start of the match and may continue at varying intensities during the game.
Colombo has already received heavy rain, and yesterday’s match between Sri Lanka and Australia was called off due to incessant rain.
Statistics show that Pakistan has never defeated India in women’s ODI matches; the two teams have faced each other 11 times, where India has emerged victorious on all occasions.
The tournament is being held in India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2, and Pakistan will play all its group stage matches at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals on October 29 and the final on November 2, both matches will also be held in Colombo.
