Pakistan summons Indian envoy after unprovoked LoC firing

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office summoned a senior diplomat from the High Commission of India to record Pakistan’s strong reservations at the ceasefire violations by Indian forces along the Line of Control on Saturday.
The Foreign Office called upon the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding; investigate this and other incidents of deliberate ceasefire violations and maintain peace along the Line of Control.
It was also told that India should allow the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan to play its mandated role as per the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
A 21-year old woman, a resident of village Serian, sustained serious injuries by the Indian fire and was evacuated to a nearby medical facility, according to ISPR.
