FAISALABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry has said a unit to produce medical equipment in the country has been established in Faisalabad Industrial Zone.
On a social media website Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said local manufacturing of all this equipment would greatly reduce medical device imports worth Rs1.4 billion, Chaudhry Fawad said.
“We will now produce Injections, Canolas, Xray Machines, Heart stents, Dialysis machines in Pakistan”, he added.

On July 13, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain had said Pakistan will develop its own smart cricket balls. While sharing video footage of the smart cricket ball developed in Australia, Fawad said, “Sialkot walas lets do that shouldn’t be a problem … let us do a joint project with technical universities and create his own smart cricket ball…,” he tweeted.
The minister called on the sports goods manufacturers of Sialkot, a city known globally for its sports products to have a joint project with the technical universities of the country to develop this product.
