Pakistan has formally requested the extradition of former Adviser on Interior Shehzad Akbar and well-known YouTuber Adil Raja. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi handed over the extradition documents to British High Commissioner Jane Marriott.
According to details, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with the British high commissioner, during which Pakistan-UK relations and security cooperation were discussed.
During the meeting, the interior minister demanded the immediate extradition of Shehzad Akbar and Adil Raja, stating that both individuals are wanted for anti-Pakistan propaganda.
The minister provided concrete evidence against these Pakistanis involved in propaganda and said that while he fully supports freedom of expression, fake news is a problem for every country.
Mohsin Naqvi said no country can allow individuals abroad to engage in accusations, slander, and abusive attacks against the state and its institutions. Pakistan welcomes UK cooperation in extraditing those involved in anti-state propaganda.
It is noteworthy that both Adil Raja and Shehzad Akbar face allegations of spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda. The Ministry of Interior has also initiated the extradition process through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
