ISLAMABAD: Around 761 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 8 more citizens have died due to the virus.
According to the statistics released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 15,52,393 people have been affected by a coronavirus, while 30,482 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
In the last 1 day, 20,843 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of coronavirus, while the ratio of positive cases was 3.71%. The total number of tests was 2,95,15,360 while 170 coronavirus patients are in intensive care.

According to the statistics yesterday, in a day, 588 patients across the country have defeated coronavirus, which has brought the number of recovered people to 15,13,737, while the number of active cases has increased to 7,660. Punjab and Sindh were the most affected by the virus.

In Sindh, 5,90,243 people were affected by coronavirus while 8,169 died. In Punjab, 5,12,176 people were affected while 13,587 lost their lives. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the third largest province affected by the virus.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22,163 people were affected by coronavirus while 6,329 died. In Islamabad, 1,37,221 people were affected by coronavirus while 127 died. Around 43,563 corona cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
At least 793 people died due to the virus in Azad Kashmir. In Balochistan, 35,756 people have been affected by coronavirus while 378 have lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,849 people have been affected by coronavirus while 191 have died.
