ISLAMABAD: Around 624 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 11 more citizens have died due to the deadly virus.
According to the statistics released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 15,61,619 people have been infected with coronavirus, while 30,520 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.

During the last 24 hours, 16,299 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of coronavirus, while the proportion of positive cases was 3.83%. The total number of tests has reached 2,979,2303 while 142 coronavirus patients are in intensive care.

On the other hand, a study by the Harvard Medical School in the United States discovered that the dysfunction of the vascular system causes metabolic changes that lead to diabetes.
“In patients with diabetes and insulin resistance, white fat and inflammation are thought to cause dysfunction of blood vessels, leading to heart disease, vision problems,” said Thomas J. Bateson, a professor of medicine who was involved in the research.
