ISLAMABAD: Around 358 new cases of Corona have been reported across the country while 8 more citizens have died due to the deadly virus.
According to the data released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 15,63,745 people have been infected with Corona, while 30,537 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
During the last 24 hours, 12,273 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of Corona, while the ratio of positive cases was 2.92 percent. The total number of tests was 2 crore 98,62,485 while 165 corona patients are in intensive care.

A statement from the Pakistani embassy in Tokyo last month said that as a result of the efforts of the Pakistani embassy and Tokyo, the government of Japan has removed Pakistan from the category of red-listed countries regarding Covid-19. The new categorization was implemented on July 27.
