Pakistani women’s football team on Tuesday defeated the Maldives 7-0 in its final game in SAFF Women Cup to record their best victory ever and put the competition to rest on a high note.
Nadia Khan became the first Pakistani to ever score four goals in a women’s international football game after scoring four goals for the greens.
Young Rameen Fareed opened the scoring for Pakistan in the 39th minute with a goal from 25 meters, giving the team the lead. In the 48th minute, Khadija Kazmi successfully converted a penalty shoot into a goal, doubling Pakistan’s advantage.
Then it was Nadia’s time to display her skills.
With her superb control and exceptional talents, the Pakistani player who is residing in the UK outperformed everyone and scored four goals in a row.
She added goals in the 53rd, 78th, and 84th minutes to complete her hat trick. In the 89th minute, she once more found the back of the net to score her fourth goal.
She became the first Pakistani to ever score four goals in a game, and with this one performance, she joined Malika-e-Noor and Hajra Khan on the list of Pakistani female players with the most goals scored internationally in a career.
Anmol Heera scored another goal for Pakistan in injury time to complete the score sheet of 7-0.
