Pakistan has unveiled its first-ever environmentally friendly electric car, the Honri Ve 2.0, at the IDEAS 2024 exhibition held at the Export Centre in Karachi.
This affordable and efficient electric vehicle is designed with urban driving in mind. The Honri Ve 2.0 offers a 30 kW power output, 84 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 100 km/h, along with a range of 200 km on a single charge. It can be fully recharged in just 7 hours.
Other features include front disc brakes, 15-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlights, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride.
During the event, Dewan Motors Director Kashif Riaz highlighted that the vehicle can travel 200 kilometers on a single battery charge, with just Rs700 spent on travel for that distance. He also noted that the electric cars are equipped with imported lithium batteries.
Experts pointed out that Pakistan has significant lithium deposits, and manufacturing lithium batteries locally could further reduce the cost of electric vehicles in the country.
