Pakistan has denied visas to Imran Khan’s sons, Kasim Khan and Suleman Khan, who had applied to visit their father, the former prime minister, currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail.
The visa requests, submitted last month at the Pakistani High Commission in London, were reportedly rejected due to technical deficiencies and incomplete information in their applications, according to diplomatic sources cited by The News.
According to reports, their visa applications were not approved due to certain technical deficiencies. Both had applied for the visas last month.
The visa applications are still pending with the relevant section of the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad.
Reports revealed that both Kasim and Suleman, who hold British passports, listed London as their place of birth and did not indicate any connection with Pakistan in their applications.
It is worth mentioning that Kasim Khan had accused the government of blocking his family’s efforts to see him, saying authorities are refusing to process visa applications that would allow him and his brother to travel to Pakistan.
Kasim Khan said his father has been held in solitary confinement for 914 days and that his health is deteriorating. He added that Imran Khan is being denied access to independent medical care.
Kasim said that he and his brother wish to come to Pakistan to see their father, but the government is deliberately delaying action on their visa requests.
