Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of new Pakistani ambassadors to a number of countries, as part of a diplomatic reshuffle aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s global ties.
According to reports, several key appointments have been made across various regions, with prominent diplomats set to represent Pakistan in different parts of the world.
- Asma Rubani will be the new ambassador to the Philippines.
- Rahim Hayat Qureshi has been appointed as ambassador to Brussels and the European Union.
- Abdul Hamid Bhutta will serve as the ambassador to Japan.
- Najib Durrani will take up the post of ambassador to Ghana.
Other key appointments include:
- Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry as ambassador to Indonesia.
- Moazam Shah will be posted as ambassador to South Korea.
- Malik Farooq has been appointed as ambassador to South Africa.
- Shahbaz Khokhar will serve as ambassador to Beirut.
- Adil Gilani will be the new ambassador to Morocco.
- Tariq Karim and Aqsa Nawaz will represent Pakistan in various African countries.
In addition, Syed Haider Shah will be the new ambassador to the Netherlands, Aamir Shaukat to Egypt, and Marghoob Saleem Butt to Switzerland.
Further reinforcing Pakistan’s diplomatic presence, Zaman Mehdi will serve as the new Consul General in Chicago, Wajid Hashmi in Melbourne, and Tanveer Bhatti in Chengdu, China.
Additionally, Imtiaz Gondal has been appointed ambassador to Manchester, and Shehryar Akbar will represent Pakistan in the Czech Republic.
These new appointments reflect Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to enhance its diplomatic outreach and strengthen its relationships with key international partners.
