RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army has recued 22 students of Lahore University of Managament Sciences (LUMS) today (Monday) stranded in snow hit Rattu in Gilgit to Rawalpindi.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 22 students were stuck at Rattu in Gilgit for the past few days due to heavy snow and land sliding.
LUMS administration approached Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa and requested him to save the lives of the stranded students.
On the directives of COAS, Pakistan Army with their helicopter airlifted the students to Rawalpindi.
All the students including 13 boys and 9 girls reached Rawalpindi and are on the way to their homes.
