The federal police have introduced a new digital platform, the PKM Global application, to provide overseas Pakistanis with online access to character certificates, passport renewal, and verification of all official documents.
Director General of Safe City Islamabad, Haroon Joyia, said that all services previously available at Pakistan’s citizen service centers are now accessible online for overseas Pakistanis.
Speaking at the launch, Joyia called the PKM app a “major milestone in digital governance,” noting that it will serve Pakistanis in over 40 countries through embassies and consulates.
Character certificates for employment verification will also be processed through the app.
He added that Pakistanis living abroad can now avail all services offered at service centers, and employee verification can also be completed through the PKM application.
