Iranian media has reported that more than 1,045 people have been killed in attacks during the continuing tensions in the Middle East and the ongoing strikes by the United States and Israel.
According to international media reports, over 1,045 individuals lost their lives in Iran during the attacks.
In a post on the social media platform X, Abbas Araghchi said that unrealistic expectations arise when complex nuclear negotiations are treated like real estate deals and when falsehoods overshadow facts.
In his message, the Iranian foreign minister also accused the US president of betraying diplomacy and misleading his own voters, adding that negotiations were undermined by bombing the negotiating table.
Meanwhile, a frigate of the Iranian navy was reportedly struck and destroyed near Sri Lanka by a US submarine. More than 100 people are feared dead in the incident.
Rescue teams have so far recovered 32 injured crew members, while 148 others remain missing. The vessel was reportedly returning after participating in the international naval exercise MILAN 2026 in India.
