The Weekend has finally arrived and thanks to Netflix, there are many titles that one can binge-watch and enjoy with friends and families.
Here is a list of series and movies that have been recently released on Netflix for you to watch this weekend:
Killer Soup
Netflix describes the plot loosely based on a true story. Directed and co-written by Abhishek Chaubey, the series is set in South India and follows Swathi Shetty, an aspiring yet talentless home chef, who conspires to replace her husband, Prabhakar, with her lover, Umesh.
Fool Me Once
Based on Harlan Coben’s book of the same name from 2016, the eight-part series centers on two tragic family murders and is an engrossing thriller. The show investigates if there is a connection between these two killings.
The show has a very gripping storyline, however, many of the social media users think it’s based on a true story or not.
The Bequeathed
The series focuses on Yoon Seo-ha, who inherits a family graveyard after the death of her uncle. However, the sudden appearance of her half-brother Young-ho, Ryu Kyung-soo) complicates the situation.
Society of the Snow
A recent Netflix Original release, “Society of the Snow,” recounts the true story of Andes plane crash survivors facing the harsh realities of their situation. Directed by JA Bayona, this film, though carrying a 2023 date due to limited theater screenings in December, is anticipated to be a strong contender for multiple Oscars, already making waves on shortlists across five categories.
Doctor Slump
‘Doctor Slump’ is a romantic comedy about two former rivals who reunite and unexpectedly become each other’s light during the darkest period of their lives.
Park Hyung Sik will star as Yeo Jung Woo, a star plastic surgeon whose thriving career suddenly falls into danger due to a strange medical accident, while Park Shin Hye will play Nam Ha Neul, an anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome.
Ha-neul and Jeong-woo were high school rivals who despised each other and parted ways after high school. But when they are forced to quit their jobs as doctors they end up living together in a rooftop room.
