Sara Mukadam also thanked the people around the world for raising their voice against the gruesome murder of Noor Mukadam. “Thank you for giving us courage to go through this tragic time in life. Our family is truly grateful of you all,” she added.
She called Noor “the light” of her family and said that this light has been taken away from them. “Noor was not just my sister but also my best friend. She [Noor] was the most beautiful person inside and out. It is very hard to imagine life without here,” she added.
However, Sara said, “We can stop this from happening again in Pakistan. No other family should go through this trageic time,” while announcing the protest to demand justice for Noor.
Noor Mukadam, 27, the daughter of a former diplomat, was found beheaded in a posh neighbourhood of the capital on July 20. Police have charged Zahir Jaffer, a US national and scion of one of the wealthiest families, with murder.
