ISLAMABAD: Non-bailable warrants have been issued for the arrest of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Musa Gilani in a case related to the illegal allocation of ephedrine.
A Court for Control of Narcotics Substances issued warrants for Ali Mussa Gilani due to his absence from the trial proceedings. The court has also issued warrants for co-accused Zuneer.
The court directed authorities to arrest both accused and present them on the next hearing slated for February 21.
According to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Ali Musa Gilani allegedly allocated 6,500 kg and 2,500 kg of ephedrine to Berlex Lab International, Multan, and Danas Pharma (Pvt) Ltd, Islamabad, in 2010-11 for export to Iraq and Afghanistan.
