The National Highway Authority (NHA) has increased toll rates on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) by 7%, with the revised charges taking effect immediately.
The new tariff will remain in force until April 23, 2027.
According to the NHA, the increase has been implemented under the concession agreement with Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering (MORE), a subsidiary of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), which manages the motorway.
Under the revised tariff structure, toll rates have been raised across all vehicle categories. The per-kilometre toll has been fixed at Rs3.98 for cars, jeeps, and taxis; Rs6.68 for wagons; Rs9.34 for coasters; Rs13.32 for buses; Rs17.33 for two- and three-axle trucks; and Rs22.29 for articulated trucks.
Heavy commercial vehicles will also face higher charges. Two- and three-axle trucks will now pay Rs6,210 per trip, while articulated trucks will be charged Rs7,980 for each passage on the motorway.
