A new National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) center will be established in Karachi’s South District to improve access to identity registration services for residents.
The decision was made during a meeting between Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab and the Director General of NADRA Sindh.
Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will provide land for the project. The new, modern NADRA center will be constructed on KMC-owned land located on Shahrah-e-Liaquat.
The mayor said that the city’s growing population has created an urgent need for additional NADRA centers and that the new facility will help improve public access to essential identity services.
He added that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and the city administration remain committed to providing high-quality public services to citizens.
Describing Saddar as one of Karachi’s major commercial hubs, the mayor said the new NADRA center will benefit residents as well as the business community.
He also stated that the KMC is willing to support the establishment of additional NADRA centers in other districts of the city.
