KARACHI: The National Disaster Management Authority has warned that from September 18, the flow of water in the Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab rivers and their adjacent channels of Punjab may increase.
According to details, NDMA has issued a flood advisory, according to which India may be affected by Sutlej and Chenab during September 17-18.
The NDMA advisory said that the flow of water in the Sutlej, Ravi, Chenab, and sewer lines may increase. The NDMA has directed that early warning be given to the risk-prone areas. All concerned federal, provincial, and district departments have also been instructed to exercise caution.

On the other hand, due to the continuous increase in the level of flood water in Badin, there is a fear of flooding the population. The administration has issued a red alert to evacuate the population due to floods.
The district administration has announced the evacuation of the area through mosques and vehicles on the speaker and appealed to the population to immediately vacate their homes including their livestock and valuables and move to safe places.
