LAHORE: The laboratory report for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been tested negative for dengue virus.
According to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Nawaz Sharif’s health is stable now.
The spokesperson from the NAB, the former premier’s platelets count had dropped due to the blood-thinning medicines that his personal physician Dr Adnan gave him.
NAB said that Dr Adnan had been allowed to examine Nawaz Sharif after every two to three days.
Nawaz Sharif was shifted to the Services Hospital in Lahore after his health deteriorated during the wee hours of Tuesday
He suffered platelets disorder and developed a clouting problem in the body after which he was shifted to the hospital, where he underwent a medical checkup.
A large number of PML-N workers assembled outside the NAB’s Lahore office and chanted slogans against the officials and the government.
This is not the first time Nawaz has been shifted to the hospital. Earlier this year, he was shifted there for medical treatment after he suffered cardiac pain.
Nawaz Sharif has been imprisoned since last year after being convicted in the Al-Azizia case.
