ISLAMABAD: Director General National Commission for Human Rights Hassan Mangi has said National Child Protection Centre and police are working jointly for curbing child-begging.
Director General National Commission for Human Rights, Hassan Mangi on Saturday said that solid measures were being taken to eliminate child beggary from the Federal capital.
He said the Child Protection Advisory board has also initiated an awareness drives to hold over the curse of child-begging.
He said that the scarcity basic necessities of lives were the key factors of this issue. He urged the government to focus on finishing this peril which forced the parents to shove their children towards begging.
Hassan Mangi said that the parents from poor families frequently sent their children to solicit or even sold them off to different landlords.
Mangi said that the Ministry of Human Rights would make all-out efforts to stop children from begging and making them valuable citizens the society.
He appealed to parents and teachers to recognize their duties and guide their children about preventive steps.
