Karachi: The Pakistan Coast Guard conducted an operation in the Jiwani area of Gwadar, Balochistan, seizing a large quantity of narcotics worth millions of rupees from a speedboat.
According to the Pakistan Coast Guards’ spokesperson, the operation was carried out based on confidential information about the smuggling of narcotics through the sea. Using a speedboat, they intercepted and seized a significant amount of narcotics in the Jiwani area.
A suspicious boat in the vicinity of Jiwani was spotted by a Pakistan Coast Guard boat. Upon seeing the Coast Guard boat approaching, the suspects on the boat abandoned their speedboat on the seashore and fled.
According to the Pakistan Coast Guards’ spokesperson, during the inspection of the speedboat, 833 kilograms of high-quality heroin and 42 kilograms of ice were recovered. The seized narcotics have an estimated value of around $20.86 million in the international market.
Previously, in the Satellite Town area of Turbat, armed individuals opened fire, resulting in the loss of six laborers’ lives and leaving two injured.
The laborers, who worked for a construction company, were residing in the company’s quarters when individuals on motorcycles arrived and opened fire before fleeing the scene. As a result of the gunfire, six laborers lost their lives, and two were injured.
