The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important warning for citizens whose Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) has expired.
The authority has urged such individuals to renew their identity cards promptly or convert their B-Form into a CNIC.
In a statement, NADRA further advised parents whose children do not yet have a B-Form to obtain one as soon as possible to avoid complications in legal identification and future requirements.
NADRA clarified that these steps must be completed by 30 June 2026 in order to avoid additional fees or penalties.
The authority stated that these instructions have been issued under Section 30(1)(e) of the NADRA Ordinance 2000, aimed at encouraging citizens to take timely action regarding their legal documentation. Delays in renewing or obtaining identity documents may lead to legal difficulties and could also disrupt access to certain government and banking services.
The warning is particularly directed at citizens living abroad or those who have not recently updated their identity documents, urging them to complete the process within the specified timeframe to avoid legal or financial complications.
