NADRA has launched an updated version of its Pak ID Mobile App, bringing a host of new features aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining identity documents, as reported by a private TV channel on Sunday.
Version 3.8.1 of the Pak ID Mobile App introduces several improvements. One of the standout features is the introduction of an alternative verification method for citizens who are unable to provide fingerprints, particularly useful for the elderly. If fingerprint verification is not available, users can now complete their verification through facial recognition.
In addition, the app now allows citizens to create their identity card or NICOP if they have a B-form, expanding its accessibility. The process for making amendments to identity cards has also been streamlined in the latest version, making it easier for users to update their details.
Furthermore, the new version of the app includes a dematerialized digital identity card feature. This enables users to store their identity cards directly on their smartphones, making it more convenient and secure.
These innovations aim to modernize the identity verification system and enhance citizens’ ability to access government services effortlessly.
