Popular Indian actress Mrunal Thakur has officially shut down swirling rumors regarding her alleged marriage to superstar Dhanush, describing the speculation as “scary.”
Mrunal, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Do Deewane Shehar Mein’ alongside co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi, became the center of a social media storm after reports claimed she was set to tie the knot with Dhanush on Valentine’s Day (February 14).
The “April Fool’s” Rebuttal
The clarification came during a promotional interview recorded on February 12. When the host questioned her about the wedding rumors, Mrunal immediately dismissed the claims with a mix of shock and humor.
“Me? No, absolutely not! I think February 14th is actually April 1st, April Fool’s Day, because I have no idea who started this news,” she stated.
The actress further added, “This timing is honestly scary,” emphasizing that she has never discussed marriage or a relationship with Dhanush.
The Viral Mystery
Adding fuel to the fire, the interview was briefly uploaded to YouTube before being mysteriously removed by the channel. However, quick-thinking fans managed to save and share the clip, which has since gone viral across Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
While the media reports had claimed the duo had been in a long-term relationship, Mrunal’s firm denial puts an end to the “Valentine’s Day Wedding” theory just 24 hours before the supposed date.
