Motorway M-1 from Peshawar to Burhan and M-5 from Zahir Pir to Uch Sharif have been closed due to thick fog that engulfed the adjacent area.
According to motorway police, the heavy fog has made travel dangerous for drivers. A spokesperson advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.
Earlier on Wednesday, authorities shut down travel on Motorway M-11 from Lahore to Sialkot, and Motorway M-2 from Lahore to Hiran Minar due fog.
The Motorway Police spokesperson advised drivers to travel during daylight, preferably between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., when foggy conditions prevail.
