LAHORE: The authorities have given a detailed briefing to Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding the Islamia University Bahawalpur case, in which more shocking revelations have been revealed.
According to a private TV during the briefing, it was revealed that a complaint was lodged with the recently retired VC on behalf of the affected students, but no action was taken by the VC.

The team had recommended the removal of the VC from the post but this recommendation was not followed, the affected students also wrote letters to the VC but instead of taking action against the accused, the VC kept asking to call the parents of the students.
During the briefing, the Chief Minister asked what is the role of Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema in this matter. In response to this it was told that the accused named Ehsan Jutt, who is an officer in the Ministry of Housing and a friend of Wali Dad, son of Tariq Bashir Cheema, got the students of the university drunk.

Tariq Bashir Cheema asked the then DPO to file a case of drug recovery on Ehsan Jutt and send him to jail. The name of the university also came out.
The chief minister was told that the security officer of the university, Ejaz Shah, was also involved in the drug racket. Ejaz Shah used to hang out outside the girls’ hostel and take pictures of girls who came late or hanging out with a boy. Later, they used to establish relations with the girls by blackmailing them.
