In various cities including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad, mobile phone service has been partially or completely suspended on the occasion of 10th Muharram due to security concerns.

Strict security arrangements have been made across the country, including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad; mobile phone service is either completely or partially suspended on the routes of processions and other important places.
According to reports, mobile service has also been shut down in Tando Allahyar; due to security concerns regarding the 10th of Muharram, mobile service of all networks has been suspended.
In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa city of Mianwali as well, mobile service has been shut down on the 10th of Muharram; five locations in the city have been declared sensitive, and mobile phone service will remain suspended in the most sensitive areas of the district, which include Piplan, Dabbalochan, Mari, Daudkhel, Chukrala, and Thamewali.
In the Sindh area of Shahdadpur as well, mobile service is suspended on Ashura; in Shahdadpur, due to security concerns on Ashura, mobile phone and internet service have been temporarily suspended.
