MUMBAI: Brahma Mishra, who played the role of Lalit in Amazon Prime’s hit web series ‘Mirzapur’, was found dead on Thursday at his rented residence at Yari Road in Mumbai’s Versova.
Indian media, while quoting police officials, reported that there was no foul play and the actor has died a natural death due to a heart attack. His body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem and his family members in Bhopal have been informed.
The actor had been living alone at his flat for the past four years. According to reports, on November 29, the actor complained of chest pain and visited a doctor. He was sent home after the doctor gave him some gas medicine.
The police said he was last seen a few days ago, adding that the body was partially decomposed. Neighbours had alerted the cops after a stench emanated from his flat. The police opened the door using a duplicate key and found the actor’s body in the toilet.
Bollywood actor Divyenndu took to social media to share the heartbreaking news with his followers. He expressed his grief over the untimely demise of his co-star and requested the fans to pray for his soul.

Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar and other actors, who worked in ‘Mirzapur’, dropped comments on the post and offered their condolence. Shriya, who was seen as Sweety, commented, “Heartbreaking.”
Excel Movies, which produced ‘Mirzapur’, shared a post on their official Instagram handle to condole Mishra’s demise. “We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of #BramhswaroopMishra. Our condolences are with his family and friends. May he rest in peace,” the caption for the post read.
