FAISALABAD: A minor girl was killed during scuffle between her parent at their home near Jhang Bazaar area of Faisalabad on Sunday.
A spokesman for Faisalabad police, Shahid Iqbal said that the woman, Sana Bibi, a resident of Amin town, exchanged harsh words with her husband, Irfan over a domestic issue.
The police official further said during the scuffle Ifran opened fire at his wife. As a result, she sustained a bullet injury in her leg, while the bullet also hit their minor suckling daughter, killing her on the spot.
The accused father managed to escape from the scene after the incident. Police registered a case against the accused and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the firing incident and sought a report from concerned authorities.
The chief minister ordered the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the firing incident and said legal action should be started.
The chief minister expressed grief and sorrow over the death of the minor in the firing incident. He said the injured women should be provided the best medical aid. The woman is said to be a closed relative of a police official.
