Mi Pakistan reduces its smartphone prices by up to Rs40,000

MM News Staff by MM News Staff
December 16, 2024

Mi Pakistan has quietly reduced the prices of several of its popular Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones.

One of the most notable discounts is on the Redmi Note 13 Pro (12 GB RAM, 512 GB ROM), which is now available for Rs70,000, down from its previous price of Rs90,000. This sudden price reduction amounts to a Rs20,000 discount, as listed on Mi Pakistan’s official website.

Similarly, the Redmi Note 13 Pro (8 GB RAM, 256 GB ROM) has seen a price cut of Rs16,300, with its new price now at Rs58,700—down from Rs75,000.

For those unfamiliar, this model has faced availability issues in the country. It was reportedly being sold in the black market, with shopkeepers charging more than the company’s set price due to low stock.

The Redmi Note 13 has also seen a reduction in price. The 8 GB RAM, 128 GB ROM variant is now priced at Rs42,300, following a Rs10,000 drop from its previous price of Rs52,300.

Additionally, the Redmi Note 13 (8 GB RAM, 256 GB ROM) is now available for Rs44,900, after a Rs13,100 price cut from its earlier price of Rs58,000.

Despite these reductions, the price of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has remained unchanged at Rs385,000. However, this price also includes a Watch 3 Active.

Another significant discount is on the Xiaomi 14 (12 GB RAM, 512 GB ROM), which has seen a price drop of Rs40,000, bringing its cost down to Rs300,000 from Rs340,000.

Moreover, the Redmi 13 (8 GB RAM, 128 GB ROM) now retails for Rs32,700, reflecting a Rs10,300 reduction from its previous price of Rs43,000.

Meanwhile, the Redmi A3 (4 GB RAM, 128 GB ROM) has had its price slashed by Rs3,000 and is now available for Rs23,000, down from Rs26,000.

The reason behind this sudden reduction in prices could be that the company is making way for newer models like the Redmi Note 14 series. Another potential factor could be lower-than-expected sales, as the latest Redmi Note 13 series hasn’t been as warmly received as previous versions.

Additionally, reports suggested that shopkeepers were demanding higher prices than those set by the company.
