The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours. Rain and snowfall are expected in northern and western Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and surrounding hilly areas during the next 12 hours.
Under this weather system, PMD predicts moderate rain-windstorms with snowfall over hills in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Chagai, Nushki, Kalat, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Harnai, Zhob, Musakhel, Kharan, Kech, Panjgur, and Gwadar between January 18 and 20, 2025, with occasional breaks.
In upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, moderate to isolated heavy rain and snow are likely during the evening and night.
Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are expected to experience moderate rain-windstorms and snowfall over hills from January 18 to 21, 2025, with occasional gaps. Meanwhile, dense fog is likely to persist in most plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night hours.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of rain and snow is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, while partly cloudy and very cold weather in Jammu.
