Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr all scored in Paris Saint Germain (PSG) last pre-season friendly in Japan. They beat Gamba Osaka in their final game. Christophe Galtier’s side played their final match of the tour at the Suita City Football Stadium and the watching fans were served up a treat by PSG’s famous three forwards.
Pablo Sarabia opened the scoring after 27 minutes. After a good move by Messi, who entered the box and shot, the Spaniard took advantage of the goalkeeper’s rebound to make it 1-0 to PSG.
On 32 minutes, Neymar’s well-taken penalty increased the lead to 2-0. A minute later, the home side pulled one back through Kurokawa to make it 2-1.
It was Nuno Mendes shortly after who restored PSG’s two-goal lead and then Messi had a tap-in after an assist from Neymar to make it 4-1 before half-time.
Neymar made it 5-1 with his second goal of the game when the second half got underway.
Another goal for the home side came in the 70th minute, when Yamami made it 5-2. In the 86th minute, after coming on in the second half, Mbappe also got on the scoresheet in this match. He scored from the penalty spot to make it 6-2.
It was PSG’s third win on their tour of Japan, having beaten Gamba Osaka, Kawasaki Frontale and Urawa Reds.
The Parisians will now travel to Israel to continue their pre-season tour in preparation for the new Ligue 1 season.
