A fire erupted in the forests of the Kingri area in Musa Khel district of Balochistan.
According to Levies officials, the blaze broke out late at night in the forests of Ahmad Zai Sui in Kingri tehsil. The fire has engulfed hundreds of acres, destroying olive trees, wild pistachio, other rare trees, and dry grass in the area.
According to a report by Geo News on Tuesday, Levies officials stated that upon receiving the information, Musa Khel’s Deputy Commissioner Jamdad Mandokhail dispatched a Levies team to the forests. Officials added that Levies personnel and local residents are actively working to extinguish the fire.
Wildfires are not limited to Musa Khel alone; similar incidents have plagued other cities and regions in Pakistan, including the forests of Swat, Chitral, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. These fires have caused significant distress, widespread destruction, and loss of life.
They not only damage precious natural resources but also expose communities to intense heat and hazardous conditions, leaving lasting scars on both the environment and the people.
