Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has given in-principle approval for the establishment of thalassemia centers in every division, as reported by national media.
At the beginning of the meeting of the Department of Health and Population Welfare, the Chief Minister congratulated the participants on the success of Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous. Maryam Nawaz said that the success of Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous has given new confidence to the nation and revived the spirit of national enthusiasm.
The Chief Minister said that Nawaz Sharif made the country invincible by conducting nuclear tests. She also called for a plan to ensure the provision of quality blood for patients throughout Punjab. In-principle approval was also given to establish thalassemia centers in every division.
A decision was also made in principle to implement an effective Central Monitoring System for health. Maryam Nawaz instructed that the revamping of hospitals should be completed as soon as possible.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s decision to observe a Day of Gratitude, stating that they will build a Pakistan that no enemy would even dare to look at with ill intent.
In her message on the occasion of the Day of Gratitude, after giving a befitting response to Indian aggression, Maryam Nawaz said they are thankful to Allah Almighty for thwarting the enemy’s wicked intentions. She said today is not only a day of gratitude but also a day of victory for dignity, courage, and national unity.
