Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has announced emergency funding worth $300,000 to support girls’ education in conflict-hit Gaza, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to reports, the assistance will be distributed equally, with $100,000 allocated to Gaza, $100,000 to Sudan and $100,000 to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Malala expressed solidarity with girls who are enduring extreme hardships while living in conflict-affected regions.
She called on governments to safeguard girls’ right to education, urged international institutions to ensure accountability under international law for those responsible for war crimes, and appealed to the public to support organisations working to protect children’s futures
