Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is all set for his acting debut in a movie titled ‘Maharaj’ which will premiere directly on Netflix.
Khan will play the role of Karsandas Mulji, a journalist, social reformer, and pioneering advocate for women’s rights and social reform. Besides him, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh, and Shalini Pandey.
Netflix recently announced the film’s release date along with its first teaser poster with the caption: “The fight for the truth between a powerful man and a fearless journalist.” Maharaj is slated to release on 14 June, only on Netflix. Maharaj is inspired by the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case.

In the film Junaid plays the role of Karsandas Mulji, a journalist and social reformer and a pioneering advocate for women’s rights and social reform. A student at Elphinstone College in Mumbai and a protégé of the scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji, he wrote on widow remarriage, stood up for the oppressed, and sowed the seeds of reform in society.
Based on the libel case, the film introduces audiences to Junaid Khan in his acting debut helmed by filmmaker Siddharth P Malhotra. Apart from this movie, Junaid Khan will be seen sharing the screen in Sai Pallavi in a film which is reportedly titled Ek Din.
