SRINAGAR: The curfew and communications blockage in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) continues to cut off the region from the rest of the world for the 320th consecutive day on Friday.
Earlier, Indian troops martyred three Kashmiri youth in Shopian district of occupied Kashmir, raising the toll to twelve in the past three days.
The youth were killed during a cordon and search operation in the Sugoo Hendhama area of the district. On the other hand, Indian security forces have sealed all entry and exit points of the area.
In the month of May, the Indian troops martyred 21 people including two young boys, besides injuring over 200 people. The KMS report says over 140 Kashmiris were arrested while the occupant forces molested 20 women.
According to human rights groups, thousands in Kashmir are buried in unmarked graves, most of them close to the LoC. A research conducted in IoK stated that Indian troops have martyred at least 93 Kashmiris, including women and teenagers during the ongoing eight-month siege and lockdown in occupied Kashmir.
At least 963 people were critically injured due to the use of brute forces, firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on them by the Indian military and the police in the occupied territory.
