A lecturer was arrested after he was allegedly caught red-handed appearing in an examination on behalf of a student at an examination centre in Chunian.
Examination Center Superintendent Faizullah Khan said that the lecturer was performing his duties at Abdul Qadeer Polytechnic Institute, Allahabad.
The lecturer, who was later identified as Mohsin Iqbal, was appearing in examinations on behalf of student Ahmad Tariq, roll number 148478.
The centre superintendent said that it was reported that Mohsin Iqbal was appearing in the examinations in place of candidates after receiving thousands of rupees.
His real name is Nauman Siddique, and he is a resident of Sardar Noor, but the plaintiff called him by the name Mohsin Iqbal.
Police registered a first information report (FIR) on behalf of centre superintendent Faizullah while candidate Ahmad Tariq escaped from the scene.
Later, Chunian City police arrested the accused Mohsin Iqbal from the premises of a government college.
