Gold prices on Thursday witnessed an increase both in the domestic and international markets, with one tola of 24-karat gold rising by Rs800 to settle at Rs357,000, according to the latest rates released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also surged by Rs685, bringing the new rate to Rs306,069, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed by Rs628, now priced at Rs280,573.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $8, reaching $3,350 per ounce.
Silver rates also recorded an upward movement. One tola of silver rose by Rs55 to reach Rs3,871, and 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs47 to Rs3,318. International silver prices went up by $0.55, hitting $36.87 per ounce.
These revised prices are based on current interbank exchange rates. The increase is part of a broader trend influenced by global economic uncertainties and sustained demand for precious metals.
