MANCHESTER: The last match of the three-match Test series between Pakistan and England will be played today.
The national team has retained the previous 16- member squad for the decisive Test match. The first match of the three-match Test series was won by the England team while the second match was drawn due to rain.
The final 11 players will be announced by the national team before the match. National team captain Azhar Ali said that he is aware of his responsibilities as captain and will try to level the series by winning the third Test.
In the third Test, Abid Ali, Asad Shafiq, Fawad Alam, Imam-ul-Haq, and Kashif Bhatti are in the squad. Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Shaun Masood, Sohail Khan, and Yasir Shah are also included.
Azhar Ali said that Fawad Alam is still in the playing squad while there are problems due to the weather. Despite the difficult situation in the second Test, the batsmen played well.
“Our bowlers are juniors and they lack experience but we will still try our best to level the series,” he said. It may be recalled that on 17th August, the second match of the three-match Test series between Pakistan and England ended without any result.Â
