Pakistan’s batting continues in the first innings against South Africa in the opening match of the two-Test series, with the team scoring 96 runs for the loss of one wicket.
In the match being played at Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and chose to bat first.
For Pakistan, Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings, but Abdullah Shafique was dismissed after scoring just 2 runs. Shan Masood and Imam-ul-Haq are currently at the crease.
Earlier, national team captain Shan Masood said after winning the toss that they would try to take full advantage of home conditions, while Proteas captain Aiden Markram said his team had experience playing in such conditions and would try to dismiss Pakistan early.
