Green Town police have arrested an online taxi driver accused of making obscene advances and attempting to sexually assault a 13-year-old student.

According to police, the suspect was transporting the child from school to his home when he engaged in inappropriate behavior inside the vehicle.

Upon the child raising an alarm, the driver dropped him outside his house and fled the scene.

Using modern technology, police traced and arrested the suspect. A case has been registered against him, and he has been handed over to the Gender Cell for further legal proceedings.

SP Saddar Rana Hussain Tahir commended the SHO and the police team for their timely action and announced the issuance of commendation certificates in recognition of their performance.
