A Lahore court has issued an arrest warrant for actress Nazish Jahangir in a fraud case and directed Defence C Police to arrest and present her before the court.
The case was registered on the complaint of Aswad Haroon, a resident of the Defence area. Jahangir faces charges of breach of trust, fraud, and issuing threats under relevant legal provisions.
Haroon claims that Nazish Jahangir borrowed his car and Rs 5 million for a project, promising to return them within two months. However, even after six months, she failed to do so. He further alleges that Jahangir sent a man, Sikandar Khan, who reportedly threatened to kill him.
In response, Jahangir rejected the allegations, labeling them a malicious attempt to extort her and damage her reputation.
Police officials confirmed that the case was filed under fraud-related charges, and legal proceedings have been initiated against Nazish Jahangir, Sikandar Khan, and others involved.
The court has directed the actress and the other suspects to appear on March 22. The complainant has already submitted the arrest warrant to the Defence C Police.
This isn’t the first time Jahangir has faced legal issues. In 2020, she was arrested by the FIA’s cybercrime wing in Karachi on charges of blackmail, harassment, and distributing fake videos and posts.
