Bunkers in Kurram have yet to be demolished, despite directives from Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Khan. According to Geo News, the deputy commissioner had issued an order on Saturday to demolish bunkers in every village belonging to both parties involved.
According to a report by Geo News, the order was directed to the executive engineer of the Communication and Works Department to oversee the demolition. While the demolition of bunkers in Balishkhel and Khaar Killay was specifically mentioned, the orders have not been executed.
The report states that after being approached for comment, the deputy commissioner declined to explain the delay. It was later revealed that one party had requested a two-day extension to carry out the demolition.
In a related development, traders, including leaders such as Jafar Hussain, Liaquat Hussain, Nasir Hussain, Muntazir Akbar, Manzoor Hussain, and Mohsin Ali, held a press conference to express their frustration over 160 trucks laden with goods being stranded in Thall for three weeks. The traders warned that if the convoy facility was not provided, they would begin a protest on Monday.
