There was tremendous bullish activity in the Pakistan Stock Exchange during the first week of the current fiscal year, and new records were established in the market. The KSE-100 index increased by more than 7,500 points.
According to details, the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s 100 index closed at 131,949 with an increase of 7,570 points over the week, and during the business week, the index remained within a band of 7,629 points.
The weekly lowest level of the KSE-100 index was 124,500, and the highest level was 132,129, while 4.83 billion shares were traded in the market over the week.
The weekly trading value of the stock market was 206 billion rupees, and the market capitalization increased by 847 billion rupees to reach 15,910 billion rupees.
It should be noted that the bullish trend seen in the first week of the current fiscal year in the Pakistan Stock Exchange is being termed historic, and the investor community holds positive sentiments for the market.
