Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif criticized Israel for alleged ceasefire violations after its missile barrage on Lebanon; however, the situation became more interesting when he reportedly deleted the tweet later.
Israel bombed more targets in Lebanon on Thursday, putting the US-Iran ceasefire into further jeopardy as high-level talks between the US and Iran are set to take place in Islamabad.
Taking to X/Twitter, the Pakistan defense minister said “Israel is evil and a curse for humanity, while peace talks are underway in Islamabad, genocide is being committed in Lebanon. Innocent citizens are being killed by Israel, first Gaza, then Iran and now Lebanon, bloodletting continues unabated. I hope and pray people who created this cancerous state on Palestinian land to get rid of European Jews burn in hell.”

The tweet drew strong reaction from Israeli PM Office, saying this kind of statements cannot be tolerated.
“Pakistan Defense Minister’s call for Israel’s annihilation is outrageous. This is not a statement that can be tolerated from any government, especially not from one that claims to be a neutral arbiter for peace,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a post on X.

It should be noted that Trump earlier announced a ceasefire in the six-week-old Iran conflict late on Tuesday on Pakistan’s request, just hours before a deadline after which he threatened to destroy Iran’s entire civilization.
So far, there is no explanation for why the Pakistani minister deleted the tweet, or whether he even posted it in the first place.
